“Where Do We Come From?
What Are We?
Where Are We Going?”

The Dense City and Gardens & Galaxies are two new series of prints by Susan Kaprov that transform representations of earth-bound flora and fauna with iconic views of New York City into unknown, other-worldly environments. The title of this exhibition draws inspiration from a late 19th-century painting by Paul Gauguin, and responds to a new normal with intense, vivid colors. Kaprov also distorts and saturates visual perspective, highlighting the effect of natural erosion that accumulates over time.
