Chanette Manso
Artist Statement
My visual language mixes myths, symbols and popular culture in a gesture to nourish the psyche, from the universal heart to complex compositions from cult movies like Princess Mononoke. I not only aim to enchant with beauty, but also to spark shared enthusiasm. I believe that when art is made as a group, like with my large scale public pieces (The Tree of Life or The Veggie Mandala), it belongs to each of us, connecting non-centralized art and Jung’s collective unconscious . Where and how I bring light to places, people and stories is my way of focusing on what I value.
